When should I schedule my off-site backup?

We recommend scheduling backups to run every day, during non-business hours.

New backup sets will default to 21:00 or 9:00 PM, in the timezone specified for the user when it was created.

Please take into consideration that the backup should probably not be started when there is a load on the system such as during normal daily use. The job should also be given enough time to complete so that it does not continue running when you do begin normal daily use. Remember initial backups will take a lot longer and please schedule the first week of the backups jobs accordingly. 

You can utilize the scheduling setting that will stop a job from running if it takes too long.
